Itinerary
This 6 day fully escorted luxury tour is available throughout the year with flights direct to Naples.
The number of days is flexible as is the itinerary which can be customised to suit individual interests and preferences.
Day One
Welcomed at Naples airport where the coach will be waiting to take you for an Italian style brunch before a private two hour guided tour of the Pompeii excavations. After this shot of culture, enjoy the the beautiful views across the Bay of Naples as you drive through Castellammare di Stabia, Vico Equense, Meta, Piano di Sorrento, Sant’Agnello and to your luxury hotel in the heart of Sorrento.
Evening: Aperitifs on the hotel’s terrace at sunset accompanied by the twinkling lights of Naples skirting the shadow of Vesuvius across the bay.
Day Two
After a relaxing full breakfast the day begins with a morning visit to ‘picture postcard’ Positano to explore its web of narrow streets with exclusive boutiques and galleries all leading down to the beach. From this level you will really appreciate the beauty of this unique location and enjoy a cappuccino before returning to the coach.
Sit back and enjoy the views as you wind your way up to Furore for a private tour of a unique winery with grapes taken from terraced vineyards along the Amalfi coast. The terraces are too steep to venture far but you will be intrigued by the story behind this winery with its romance, a constant struggle against the elements and the delicate balance between man and nature to produce wines so beautiful. A perfect storyline for a TV Drama.
After visiting the cellars you stroll across to the restaurant for a superb meal with wine pairings. The intricacies of each wine and how the surrounding landscape influences their taste will be explained in detail and questions willingly answered. All this taking place with the sky, sea and mountains of the Amalfi coast as a background. Here’s a little taster video.
Evening: Free time to get acquainted with Sorrento.
Day Three
A day to explore the captivating island of Capri and its many attractions including an opportunity to visit the magical Blue Grotto. For the ultimate view take a cable car ride to the top of the island or keep your feet firmly on the ground as the designer boutiques tempt you in.
Evening: Flavours of the Neapolitan Riviera. A wonderful opportunity to taste some of the best cuisine created around local and regional influences by a Michelin chef together with superb wines from Campania. A truly gastronomical experience in a magnificent setting.
Day Four
A private guided tour to the top of Vesuvius for superb views of the Bay of Naples. Its volcanic ash preserved as well as destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum and also formed extremely fertile soil on its slopes and beyond. Fruit and vegetables thrive in abundance here including grape vines. The distinctive flavours from these grapes will be sampled during a visit to a local winery together with a traditional lunch from local produce.
Evening: Free time to discover some of the many hidden gems in historic Sorrento including restaurants, boutiques and tasting limoncello in its many forms including gelato.
Day Five
Naples is the destination today where your guide will introduce to the many wonders of this intriguing city. Its treasures, its architecture, its shops, its people and the authentic Neapolitan Pizza.
Evening: Free time in Sorrento to take a stroll down to the Marina Grande for a fresh fish meal at the Delfino Restaurant overlooking the fishing harbour.
Day six
In five days you would have experienced Pompeii, Vesuvius, Positano, Capri, Naples, some of the best wines and cuisine in the region and one of the World’s most beautiful coastline. It’s time to relax and just enjoy Sorrento for some last minute shopping and lunch before the transfer to the airport.

A unique opportunity to experience an opera at the magnificent Teatro San Carlo in the heart of Naples. An emotionally charged evening awaits in the breath taking setting of this historical opera house with an interlude just long enough to catch your breath and take a sip of champagne. When the applause stops, wipe away the tear and alight your carriage to return to Sorrento for cocktails on terrace as you look back at Naples across the bay and realise it’s not been a dream. Availability of operas is subject to the season’s programme.
